Death is everyone’s final surprise party

Death is everyone's final surprise party.

I don’t know if anyone has said this before. Probably, but I said this to my son this morning when we were talking about the paradox of time travel and killing yourself in the future or the past.

The basic thought behind it is that nobody knows when they’re going to die, so it’s basically always a surprise. Sure, some people may have a better idea than others, but that is also kind of like most surprise parties.
